Social media isn’t niche anymore.

People don’t occasionally go to their Friendster accounts to say something witty, and they don’t spend more time on their LiveJournal accounts than they do their MySpace.

Not only are all those sites essentially obsolete now, but social media itself has become an integral part of most people’s everyday life. People use social media to stay in touch, to research businesses, to network, to shop, to find a new house, and much more.
